Privacy policy

Short version: we collect nothing about you. No accounts. No sign-up walls. No tracking scripts. No fingerprinting. What you watch is your business and stays on your side of the screen.

What we do not do

• We do not create accounts, ask for emails, or require sign-in to watch anything.
• We do not set our own cookies, run third-party analytics, or embed tracking scripts. The only numbers this site keeps are the aggregate page-view counts described below — never tied to you.
• We do not fingerprint browsers or devices.
• We do not sell, rent, or share personal data — we have none to share.
• We do not store viewing history. Our only server-side storage is a cache of public catalog metadata (titles, descriptions, thumbnails) in Cloudflare KV, keyed by validated search terms and archive.org identifiers — never by you — plus the aggregate page-view counts described below.

What happens when you use the site

The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Your requests pass through Cloudflare's edge network (CDN, WAF, bot protection), which processes IP addresses in the standard way to serve pages and protect the site; Cloudflare's privacy policy applies to that traffic. Our API applies per-IP rate limits to protect the service; those limits live in memory and are never logged or stored.

The watchlist is an optional convenience: films you save are stored only in your browser's local storage on your own device. It is never sent to us, never stored on any server, and you can clear it at any time with the “Clear watchlist” button or by clearing your browser's site data. An Export button downloads your list as a file you own; an Import button restores a previously exported file. Both run entirely in your browser — no data leaves your device either way.

Films play through the Internet Archive's embedded player. When you press play, archive.org's player, cookies, and privacy practices apply — the same as visiting archive.org directly.

Affiliate links go to third-party retailers (such as Amazon); the retailer's privacy policy applies after you click.

What the player remembers

The native player keeps a few small preferences on your own device so your choices stick between visits. They live in your browser's local storage, under keys prefixed 347movies. — the same storage your watchlist uses:

• Your server choice — the embedded archive.org player, a direct stream, or a mirror node (347movies.serverPref)
• Your playback speed (347movies.ratePref)
• Your volume level (347movies.volumePref)
• Where you left off in a film or episode, for the “Continue watching” row (347movies.progress.v1)
• Your light/dark theme choice (347movies.theme.v1)

These preferences are stored only in your browser, on your device. They are never transmitted to our servers or to archive.org, and they disappear when you clear your browser's site data. Quality and captions are not stored — they reset to the defaults on each visit.

The page-view counter

The advertise page shows approximate traffic numbers, and they come from a deliberately minimal first-party counter. Each page load reports its path to our own /api/view; the server adds one to an aggregate daily bucket — nothing more. We store no IP address, no browser or device details, no account, and no identifier; we set no cookie for it and read none; and the count can never be traced back to you.

Counts are approximate by design: a view is a JavaScript-enabled page load (no-JS visitors and bots that don't run the page's script aren't counted), the numbers live in a short-lived edge cache (expiring after roughly a month, then the count starts again), and the client report is a single fire-and-forget request with no retries. The aggregate totals — never any individual's activity — are what the advertise page displays. We never sell or share the numbers, and we can't use them to identify anyone.

Advertising — the standing disclosure

This site may carry ads. They appear only in clearly marked sidebar and leaderboard slots, labeled “Advertisement” — never over, inside, before, or around the movie player. The player is never wrapped, resized, paused, or covered by an ad.

The ad network this site is wired for is Google AdSense (Google's privacy policy and partner-sites policy apply to any ad you see). Right now no ad network is active and no third-party ad code runs — the slots are reserved containers with a business contact, and this site still ships no third-party scripts. Ads activate only once the site owner adds an AdSense publisher id and unit ids to the site's configuration and redeploys.

When ads are active, the only mechanisms this site adds are a request to our own /api/ad-config endpoint (edge-cached, returns “disabled” or the network's loader URL, publisher id, and slot ids) and the AdSense script running inside the marked slot containers. We do not receive any data about you from the network, and we pass it none: no accounts, no viewing history, no identifiers. The network's own cookies and tracking practices are governed by its privacy policy, linked above.

Advertising inquiries go to the publicly listed business contact on the advertise page. That address is a business contact published by the site owner — it is not a viewer-data channel, and nothing about your viewing is ever sent to it.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, this page will change first, with a dated entry. We will never start collecting data silently.
