Grease VHS (c. 1984) (USA)
About this film
Printed during the 36th week of 1988. Still the best High School Musical around, with John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John headlining this nostalgic recreation of high school life, c. 1958. COMMENT: The printing I have of the Gulf+Western-era VHS of this picture dates to the introduction of hi-fi in VHS VCRs, as it has the VHS hi-fi logo on the spine; the back cover states that "VHS hi-fi playback requires VHS hi-fi VCR". A smash hit of 1978, this picture made its home video debut in January 1980, and made its way to the Fotomat line the next month.
