The Variation Wave - Macy’s Interviews, 1984
About this film
On the second cassette release of The Variation Wave, the opening features brief audio interviews segments. These were taking from a VHS video tape shot at Macy’s department store in Wichita when Joel worked there in electronic sales. Deciding to use dialogue at the opening of the cassette release, Joel prompted people he worked with to make up stories about the band on the spot. This is the recently rediscovered original footage.
