Released by Heritage Films in 1997. For more than a century, the Lickey Hills have been one of the region's favourite playgrounds and they have a special place in the hearts of millions. But there's more to Lickeys than a mere Playground. Before their heyday, when the Rednal 70 trams brought tens of thousands of people from the crowded city to the rugged spaciousness of the hills, there served as a Roman packhorse route, a Norman hunting ground, a stagecoach route to Bristol and a testing ground for the first Austin Car. In this video, we explore not only Lickey Hills themselves and tier special relationship with the local people but also their fascinating history.
