This recording is perhaps the earliest call to arms records made, it was to turn the tide of feeling against Spain of which we were upset with due to the explosion and sinking of the USS. Maine in Havana Harbor in early 1898, this does allow us to date this rather well since we were not fighting yet, but the song seems to say when?
