AudioTwo Tales about Aviation
About this film
LibriVox recording of Two Tales about Aviation by Rudyard Kipling. Read in English by Phil Benson. Two science fiction stories in which Rudyard Kipling imagined a future world controlled by the Aërial Board of Control (ABC) with its motto, "Transportation is Civilization". In 'With the Night Mail' a postal airship makes an eventful night run across the North Atlantic from London to Quebec. At the end of story, Kipling added a number of faux contemporary documents about the ABC (Part 2 of this recording). A follow up story 'As Easy as ABC' had more to say about the political organization of this new world.
