The legislative body of the Town of Winchester Massachusetts is a representative town meeting, consisting of one hundred ninety-two members from eight precincts who are elected to meet, deliberate, act and vote in the exercise of the corporate powers of the town. The Winchester Town Meeting meets twice a year, once in the fall and once in the spring. Spring Town Meeting reviews and votes on the town budget among other items, while the fall Town meeting reviews and votes on Winchester's capital agenda and warrant articles. The actual meetings may occur over several days or evenings.
