About this film
LibriVox volunteers bring you 15 recordings of To Grenville Matheson MacDonald by George MacDonald. This was the Weekly Poetry project for August 24, 2025. George MacDonald was a Scottish author, poet and Christian Congregational minister. From 1879 to 1900 he and his family lived in Bordighera, Italy, where he founded a literary studio naming it Casa Coraggio (Bravery House). It soon became one of the most renowned cultural centres of that period, well attended by British and Italian travellers, and by locals, with presentations of classic plays and readings of Dante and Shakespeare often being held. - Summary by Wikipedia For further information, including links to online text, reader information, RSS feeds, CD cover or other formats (if available), please go to the LibriVox catalog page for this recording.
