AudioMountain Goats Live at Easy Street Records on 2026-08-10
About this film
A couple days after a much bigger show outside Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo ("ZooTunes," as they call it), The Mountain Goats — John Darnielle, Matt Douglas, and Jon Wurster — played a much sweatier and shorter show inside West Seattle's Easy Street Records. Most notable, given the small stage, was Wurster's drumpad. Instead of having the drummer in the back, all three members played in a horizontal line together, up close and personal with a store completely packed full, the crowd stretching around the block before they were let in 15 minutes before the show started (still on time). Entry entailed pre-ordering the record in some form and picking it up at the front desk before the show. This was The Mountain Goats right before John Darnielle turns 60, a band able to tour harder than your average hot 25-year-old flavors of the month.
