The Scarlet Pimpernel is a 1934 British adventure film directed by Harold Young and starring Leslie Howard, Merle Oberon, and Raymond Massey. It follows Sir Percy Blakeney, an English aristocrat who leads a double life as the mysterious hero known as the Scarlet Pimpernel. Set during the French Revolution's Reign of Terror, he secretly rescues French nobles from execution while maintaining the facade of a foppish nobleman, all while his wife, Marguerite, is unwittingly caught in the political intrigue.
