About this film

The Train is a 1964 action war film directed by John Frankenheimer and starring Burt Lancaster, Paul Scofield and Jeanne Moreau. Set during World War II, French Resistance member Paul Labiche must stop a German colonel, Franz von Waldheim, from transporting stolen art masterpieces out of France by train. As the Allies approach Paris, Labiche and his team devise clever strategies to delay the train without damaging the valuable cargo, ultimately leading to a tense confrontation.
