Children's Favorites: SUPERMAN (1986)
About this film
A VHS transfer of public domain Superman cartoons produced by Max Fleischer. This tape takes three full-length Superman cartoons and awkwardly edits/truncates them to run in just under 19 minutes total of videotape. Combined with the horrible picture and sound quality, as these are Nth generation 16MM prints transferred to EP speed VHS tape, plus the random splices and jumpcuts, make this most interesting viewing. I call it the Rorschach Test of Superman tapes, if you can figure out what's happening, you deserve a Nobel Prize. This tape, released through Trans-Atlantic Video in 1986, contains the following three heavily butchered Superman cartoons: Volcano (1942) Magnetic Telescope (1942) The Bulleteers (1942) Enjoy the mess! Transferred from my own collection.
