Notes Robert Leonhardt was an Austrian baritone (born 1877 in Linz, Austria – died 1923 in New York, NY, USA), who sang at the Metropolitan Opera, New York, from 1913-1918 and 1919-1922. "Reiters Morgenlied" is a popular song about a young cavalry soldier greeting the dawn of the day on which he is going to die. The recording on the other side of this disc: Andreas Hofer .
