My name is Protesilaos, also known as “Prot”. I am joining you today from the mountains of Cyprus. Cyprus is a country in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea. In this presentation I will explain how GNU Emacs has allowed me to live in greater computing freedom. Most of this talk will cover what Emacs is, why it can help the user live in freedom, and how those relate to my particular case. There will also be some more theoretical insights.
