You’re Drive-in Me Crazy! - Leap of Faith footage, 1991
About this film
Raw footage of a rehearsal of the band Uncle Dirty Toes, previously called Leap of Faith. The footage was shot for the VHS documentary "You're Drive-in' Me Crazy," created after the last full-scale "Escape' Drive-in Party" held in Vinland, Kansas. Right before their performance of the previous Escape Drive-in, the band changed their name. But, the band's last name had already been used on the advertising invitation flyer. That drive-in party-themed show had a huge attendance. The documentary attempted to explain things and have the people involved tell stories about what they experienced. We recently found this rehearsal footage which was shot as a follow-up to an interview conducted the same day. It's a nice set of footage of these local Lawrence musicians practicing and having fun together.
