Cowscape - Hermanson & Sanderson 1990, 2021 rework
About this film
This is a remastered version of the video, created in 2021 featuring an attempt to again improve both the video and audio quality of the original piece. Since the original video was shot in 1991 on VHS tape, this rework uses video AI software to restore the videos image. This video is from 1990, when I Father was known for Kansas landscape paintings, he began adding cows into his landscapes and one time at a dinner we (Kris & I) joked that he should paint a landscape on a cow. We were telling the story to some friends at work and my boss at the time, Ed Jarvis of Lawrence, overheard the telling of the story of the cow painting and told us that he had a cow we could paint. Kris and I went out to his ranch one afternoon to complete the task. Kris is the artist, I'm on the video camera and you can see Ed Jarvis and Fred Gutknecht in the background. Note: the cow initially started to panic because it thought Kris was a vet, but the cow calmed down after Kris started petting it. Music is from an old out of print LP record, Snakefinger's History of the Blues.
