Sanderson, Joel - Road 1991, rework 2021
About this film
This is a remastered version of the video, created in 2021 featuring an attempt to again improve both the video and audio quality of the original piece. Since the original video was shot in 1991 on VHS tape, this rework uses video AI software to restore the videos image. In the early 90's I lived in Lawrence and did part time work in theater at the Wichita Center for the Arts in Wichita, which called for a lot of driving. This video was an experiment to try and capture the feeling of an endless commute, from Lawrence to Wichita and back. Music is a jam between Mick Watts (guitar) and Curtis Martins (percussion), released by Demolition Kitchen in 1987.
