About this film
In 2013, the Hollywood In Vienna festival paid tribute to the legendary film composer James Horner. This was actually the first concert of his own film music that James Horner ever took part in and attended. It's hard to believe for a two-time Academy Award®-winner who was nominated seven times and also won two Golden Globe Awards and three Grammys. The Gala concert, which also presented Horner with the Max Steiner Award, took place on October 4. This first week of October from two years earlier was a tremendously joyous and moving event, celebrating James' entire career and contribution to film music. In the concert, we heard excerpts from his scores to Avatar , Titanic , A Beautiful Mind , Aliens , The Rocketeer and Willow , among others. The concert was a historic night when it took place, and it is truly part of history now. Contents 1. Hollywood In Vienna Fanfare 2. Metropolis - Prelude 3. Space Mountain - De la Terre à la Lune 4.
