Bureau of Transportation Statistics Video VH-372 CTPP: Census Transportation Planning Package This is a promotional video explaining the advantages of the CTPP as a planning tool. It is not a guide to the use of CTPP data sets or its TransVU software. The video introduces some applications of the socioeconomic and journey to work data: updating origin- destination data for TIP's, identifying VMT for air quality attainment, defining travel markets, managing travel demand, and managing urban growth. Endorsements from experts and local agencies (including MTC and OCTA) are included. Emphasis is on the practicality, acceptability and cost-effectiveness of the pre-packaged CTPP data. The various modes of user assistance are shown.
