FDR Presidential Library Video 21 Challenge to Democracy (Japanese Internment) War Relocation Authority. Public Domain film made by the U.S. Office of War Information documenting the relocation of Japanese American citizens to internment camps in the middle of the country, their living conditions, work, and for some, assimilation into other parts of the country. Finally we see young Americans of Japanese decent, training in the armed forces where they ultimately became a highly decorated unit.
