Federal Highway Administration Video VH-273B Partial-Depth Repair of Concrete Pavement This video demonstrates repair of spalls at joints and midsections of concrete pavements. Materials and procedures are shown for repair of damage limited to the upper third of the concrete slab. High early-strength concrete mixes are discussed, and the repair process is demonstrated. Tests are shown for deterioration and determination of repair boundaries. Surface preparation is demonstrated, including options for removal of joint material, cleaning, and application of a bonding agent to the repair site. Finally, placement and consolidation of the concrete, finishing, and curing procedures are presented. SHRP tape no.33
