Iowa Department of Transportation VIdeo 32745 Teen Driver Safety Iowa Department of Transportation Research and Technology Bureau video presentation from the 2009 human factors and roadway safety workshop session titled: Teen Driver Safety Keynote Speaker Dan McGehee, director, Human Factors & Vehicle Safety Research Division, University of Iowa, speaks on teen drivers and how Event Trigger Video systems provide feedback to teens and parents that help them focus on improving driving skills and awareness. The Million Mile Project is discussed; this project studies 90 teen subjects using in-car video triggered by sudden movement and erratic driving. An interdisciplinary team of professionals is being formed to analyze and evaluate resulting data and examine crash causes and potential preventative measures.
