National Archives and Records Administration - ARC Identifier 98575 / Local Identifier NTA-NTA-232 - Let My People Live - National Tuberculosis Association. This film is aimed at African Americans (and shot at Tuskegee University) and instructs viewers in the necessity for early diagnosis of tuberculosis, advising Negroes to get chest X-rays at the first symptoms of the disease and assuring them that the disease can be cured. The film suggests that organized religion is a vital mainstay in this particular community, but warns of the dangers of the previous generation's superstitions and its fear of medicine.
