This film chronicles the events surrounding the San Fernando Valley earthquake, documenting what happened when the earthquake struck, and how people and the government responded. Scenes show the fire and destruction left by the earthquake, gas mains exploded, sewer and water lines erupted in the street, and why 80,000 people were forced from their homes by a threatened break in a major dam. The footage also includes scenes with Governor Ronald Reagan and Vice President Spiro Agnew. -
