In recent months, in the press, over the radio, and on television, the American people have heard of the new and awesome developments in warfare which put modern muscle in the Army. Such muscle is the 280mm cannon, the Honest John artillery rocket and the Corporal, a long-range guided missile. Such modern muscle is tactical television and air delivery of masses of men and their equipment. In "Exercise Flash Burn" viewers see what happens when our forces are attacked by an aggressor and how these weapons are employed on the battlefield. For this issue THE BIG PICTURE takes its audience to a deserted area in North Carolina for the answer.
