Far Away Blues (G.Brooks) 25 cm Columbia 13007 D Matrix Nr. 81261 Bessie SMITH - Gesang, Clara SMITH - Gesang, Fletcher HENDERSON - Piano rec. 4.X.1923 Note : This record came to me as a wreck. Over weeks I made hundreds of cut-outs of crackle and distortion. Each cut was only between 4 thousandth and 20 hundredth of a second, but in sum it made up, that my cut version is 17 seconds shorter than the original. I also included the "original" after the first steps of processing. Take it as an example that you don't discover every fake with your ears, but sometimes with your mind. On the other side : I'm going back to my used to be (from the same singers and same date). I haven't repaired it yet and maybe I never will... Genre : Classical Blues
