About this film
LibriVox recording of Fairhaven; a Story of Pilgrim Land by Henry Grattan Donnelly. Read in English by John Fairhaven is the story of a very wealthy couple who lived in New York City in a palatial mansion. They had all the trappings of the super rich, including butlers, maids, chauffeurs and chefs. Then suddenly it all went away in a financial markets crash of the early 1900's. All their wealth was gone as well as his health, prompting their personal physician to prescribe a move to Fairhaven at Cape Cod for recovery. That move was the solution, and with it they grew to know and love one another all over. Fairhaven is a warm story with a pleasant ending that everyone will enjoy.
