ESPN WOC VHS Recording + channel surfing (October 13, 1980)
About this film
The oldest tape in my collection that wasn't dubbed from an older method of recording! (cough cough, Green Hornet) This vintage tape contains a rerun of the Ole Miss @ Georgia college football game from October 11, 1980. This rerun aired two days later on October 13th, with a Canadian football game that aired after the game as evidence. Commercials are included during this game. After the game, there is roughly 30 minutes of channel surfing. Some of the programs seen on here include, but are not limited to, the French dub of the anime Captain Harlock, some Canadian football, Sesame Street, AND SEVEN SECONDS OF NICKELODEON! Yes, Nickelodeon from 1980! Given the blend of programs like ESPN as well as French dubs of shows/French programs, this was likely recorded somewhere near the US/Canada border. Absolutely incredible time capsule all around. Audio and video quality are both decent for this tape's age as well.
