In such occassions, full operas were not recorded in full. Instead, especially altered abridged version would be performed to fit the roughly 2 minutes and 15 seconds a period 2-minute cylinder record could offer. Recorded 1905 in Berlin, Germany and released as Edison Goldguss cylinder record #15278. The transfer of this cylinder record is part of the soundtrack in the film A Dangerous Method .
