The Cylinder Archive [ www.cylinder.de ] release for September 2016: A more unusual opera selection from an Edison 2-Minute Gold Moulded Cylinder, record in 1905 by soprano Bernice de Pasquali. Born as Bernice James, she had relative short recording career for different brands. This particular recording from the famous Faust by Charles Gounod was recorded in London and remained the only Edison recording she ever made.
