About this film

An early Edison cylinder (#535) from approx. 1897-98. 'The Forge in the Forest' was composed by Theodor Michaelis under the German name 'Die Schmiede im Walde'. The recording set up for this one was definitely not the best as the triangle drowns out a lot of the other instruments.
