The Cylinder Archive [ www.cylinder.de ] release for April 2011: A song from the operetta Polnische Wirtschaft (Polisch Saloon) which had its debut performance in 1910. As sing cylinder was recorded in August 1910 it featured one of the very latest selections. It was released as an Edison (Wax) Amberol. This recording is a vocal duett by Lina Goltz and Arnold Rieck. Rieck was an actor in Berlin and also one of the first German actors to appear in early movies. The Song "Komm', mein Schatz, in den Lunapark" (Come, my Dear to Lunapark) was a kind of advertisement song for the famous amusement park in the capital Berlin, Germany which just had opened one year before in 1909, featuring several attractions such as a water slide or a swivel house.
