AudioMichael Casey's Plans For Freeing Ireland
About this film
This recording which dates from a very early period of commercial production, contains the voice of Russell Hunting. In the early part of the 1890's, Hunting started to record on cylinder in Boston, Mass. This recording which plays for three minutes and forty six seconds is of this period. The title of the recording is "Casey's Plans for Freeing Ireland." There is no company announcement during the introduction, which is done by Hunting. There was a crowd around the recording horn which chimed in periodically. At the end of the cylinder note how the chorus of voices call out not only the name of Casey, but Russell as well.
