Campus Fire Safety LIVE DORM ROOM BURN 2 versions 1 - background talking by observers 2 - less background talking and a timer visible. Objective?The objective of building this mockup was to provide a graphic visualization that would help send the message to students about how quickly fire can spread. Contents?the contents of the mockup were standard dormitory-issue furniture provided by the University of Massachusetts Housing Services. Other furnishings, such as the television and computer, were obtained from UMass Recycling. The "finishing touches" such as posters, clothing, backpacks, books, pizza boxes, etc. were done with the assistance of the student fire fighters from the Amherst Fire Department. from An official web site of the Department of Homeland Security and the Federal Emergency Management Agency
