WARNING! This series of lectures - about Astronomy - from 1959, has not aged well! It is no longer accurate about some things .... I'm amused by the quaint ideas from 1959 that we have since dis-proven. Astronomers no longer talk about the "Canals of Mars" ... or about Venus being a Habitable "Sister Planet" to Earth. And we have solved most of the questions that - in his time - were still unanswered. And, even Pluto is no longer a Planet . Oh, it's still the same, since 1959, but quibbling humans changed the rules: so it is no longer considered a "Planet". These old class films were decomposing ... and I'm glad they got rescu…
