Winchester Massachusetts' Art in the Park (AIP) started in 2000 as a one day showcase, on the Winchester Common, of the work of the Winchester Artists Network (WAN). In the same year, Art in August (AIA), started as a month long display of WAN artists in over two dozen Winchester business establishments. Originally sponsored by the Downtown Business Association, both AIP and AIA are now sponsored by the Winchester Cultural Council.
