A typical sazandari ensemble can be seen on this postcard . The typical instruments are all originally derived from Persia, the tar (a plucked, long-necked and waisted string instrument), the kamancheh (a bowed string instrument), and the daf (a large frame drum). A Lezginka (Russian: Лезгинка) is the name of a North Caucasian dance characterized by a fast 6/8 rhythm. It can be danced solo by a male or danced by a couple.
