Niel Stephenson in "The Diamond Age" said that the difference between people who are successful and the rest of us is the successfull are subversive. And if you look across the fields of politics, business or media (assuming there's a difference between them) Niel's suggestion is very true. What is more cognitive dissonance theory tells us that no matter how much external force is applied to us to make us think and act a certain way we will insist that we came to think and act that way as a result of our own volition. No one likes to admit to themselves they are helpless stooges of superior power so rather then do that they insist they wanted to do whatever the strongman forces them to do all along. ha ha ha The Music to "Jack's Exciting Adventure" is by the ALF
