About this film

Wisconsin infant deaths are three times higher for Black babies than for white, according to most recent health data, and state health professionals are working hard to combat negative outcomes for Black mothers and newborns. The National Institutes of Health has recognized this week to be Black Maternal Health Week and joining us to talk about her work in this field is Dr. Jasmine Zapata. She is a physician, an assistant professor and researcher with the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.
