On this episode of Report from Santa Fe, Michael Ratner discusses his career as a human rights activist who works for the Center for Constitutional Rights. He is in Santa Fe to speak about Guantanamo and the dissent of civil rights since 9/11. During his legal career, he represented Guantanamo detainees to determine whether the president has the right to pick people up anywhere in the world and put them in Guantanamo without a hearing in court. In his books, he describes the laws about search warrants and surveillance. Whether people have something to hide or not, they still have the right to privacy.
