Here & Now, Deer herd study results, Deer hunting is a nearly $1.5 billion business in Wisconsin. Groundbreaking new recommendations on how to manage the state's white-tailed deer herd from Texas researcher Dr. James Kroll who was hired by the Governor to evaluate the DNR's deer management. Adam sat down with Dr. Kroll earlier this week to discuss his findings. B-roll of hunters and deer, drought in southern Wisconsin, U.S. Agriculture Dept declared a natural disaster in 26 drought-stricken states - largest natural disaster in American history but Wisconsin is not included. Southern third of the state - is now in a 'severe' drought. Governor Walker this week declared a state of emergency in 42 counties. Crop damage and water shortages are common. Some cities have already imposed water restrictions.
