Correspondent Laura Paskus travels to Jemez Springs to meet a renowned tree ring expert who has prepared his property for fires and spreads the word to neighbors. Producer Sarah Gustavus sits down with former border patrol agent Francisco Cantú. He is the author of “The Line Becomes a River: Dispatches from the Border,” a reflection on how his experiences in the border patrol began to weigh heavily on him. And Gene Grant and the Line opinion panelists discuss the election of Alan Webber as the new mayor of Santa Fe in the city’s first ranked-choice “instant runoff” election. They also debate the decision by the Albuquerque City Council to increase the gross receipts tax and look at the Supreme Court’s ruling on an ongoing Rio Grande water dispute.
