This episode is an essay on the inner world of the American Negro - his values, attitudes, and his impressions of life. Footage shot at an African rite in Harlem; at a Negro debutante ball; at the offices of the New York experimental social welfare group, HARYOU-ACT; at the offices of a Negro newspaper; at a Negro radio station; at churches and sports events describe the American Negro community.
