About this film

Dr. Strughold and Dr. Rider survey the special problems of space medicine one by one. Dr. Rider describes the physical characteristics of the upper atmosphere while Dr. Strughold discusses the medical effects. The problems include vanishing oxygen and air pressure, ultraviolet and cosmic radiation, heat and friction, meteors, violent contrasts of light and ark, and some other problems arising within the hermetically sealed cabin which the Air Force is developing for use in space flight.
