About this film

The final episode of Doctors in Space takes up the question of life on other planets. From an imaginary satellite at a distance of 26,000 miles from the earth, equipped for astronomical observations and as a takeoff platform for space exploration, Dr. Strughold and Dr. Wilson discuss the biological environments on other worlds -- especially Mars -- an d the possibility of finding or establishing life on them. The program completes the study of mans adaptation to conditions in space and looks forward to the day when he will finally venture forth to explore the cosmos. Albert G. Wilson, PhD, is with the RAND Corporation, Santa Monica, California. Articles by Dr. Wilson on astronomical subjects, with biographical data, have appeared in The National Geographic and other magazines. (Description adapted from documents in the NET Microfiche)
