Interview with Senator John Lewis conducted for Eyes on the Prize II. Discussion centers on a SNCC trip to Africa and meeting Malcolm X there, his admiration for Malcolm X and his disagreements with his separatist ideas, the relationship between Malcolm X and Martin Luther King, Jr., Lewis' removal as SNCC chair and replacement by Stokely Carmichael, and his decision to leave SNCC.
