"'Champions of Wildlife' tells the story of a new breed of inspired individuals who work marathon days to fight the destruction of America's wildlife and natural habitats. "'Challenge on the Coast' features the work of dedicated people who are working to protect and restore America's coastal resources. As more and more people move to coastal areas, the problems along our coastlines will only increase unless more people become aware of the problems that exist. "The Conserving America Specials merit Peabody consideration because it provides first hand exposure to the grass roots efforts of normal citizens who are fighting to save our land. These programs reinforce the American belief that one person can make a difference in this world.
