You Were There! A conversation with William Shakespeare
About this film
This short animated Super 8mm film was a high school English project from the early 1970's. In the style of Walter Cronkite's "You Are There" shows, a reporter goes back in time to interview William Shakespeare, in an effort to understand the inspiration of the play Romeo and Juliet. We played the subject a little on the broad side. Mostly going for the laughs. Still we covered most of the points we learned in class about Romeo and Juliet. We walked away with an "A" for our effort. All the sound was dubbed after the animation was filmed and edited.
