Host Al Page speaks with Professor G. Ross Heath, Dean of the College of Ocean and Fishery Sciences at the University of Washington. They discuss problems with global sharing of the oceans, the "tragedy of the commons," and America's policies concerning ownership of ocean life and minerals. They discuss Puget Sound, its specific problems, and possible solutions to those problems. They also discuss common controversial issues such as offshore drilling, recreational vs. commercial fishermen, fish stock levels and pollution.
