National Archives description: "Reel 1 shows plowing and grain harvesting scenes; food supplies in storage; a freight train being unloaded and refueled; steeplechase and bicycle races, boxing, and a soccer game; dancers performing in an opera; a symphony orchestra playing; artillery, battleships, and aircraft; and metal being melted and molded in a gun factory. Reel 2, gun barrels are lathed and milled. Shows stockpiles of rifles, heavy artillery, antiaircraft guns, and shells. German troops drill. A ship is launched. Ammunition is stored aboard a battleship. Tanks are tested. Reel 3, coal is loaded into cars and taken from a mine. Shows blast furnaces; activity in a gun factory; a battleship's guns ready for action; fighter planes in formation; male and female personnel in a chemical plant; a textile mill's interior; the manufacture and testing of synthetic rubber; telephone switchboard activity; army uniforms being made; street scenes; women machinists and welders at work; children in a nursery school, laughing at a puppet show, attending school, and making model airplanes."
